Devika is a student at the Horace Mann School in New York City.

She is an aspirational social entrepreneur who has tried to make a positive systemic change through her multifaceted passions. She has impacted her school community by starting the club, Healthier at HM, which has added nutritional options to the lunch menu and hosted workshops to create an overall healthier school environment.

She is also the co-founder of Music For Change, a 501(c)(3) non-profit that aims to spread awareness on social issues through the arts. The Music For Change team has now grown to over 35 members working in 7+ different countries. Over the past 2 years, the team has raised over $9000 for COVID-19 relief, performed at BLM protests, hosted the opening and closing ceremonies for National High School Model UN that celebrated the uniqueness of various cultures, hosted community events such as weekly singing lessons with St Cecilia’s Orphanage, completed a series of Asian-American representation webinars, hosted citizen artistry workshops at International Thespian Society, coordinated with local culture associations, and much more.


As a highlight, the organization hosted a concert at Carnegie Hall on October 9, 2021, to raise $35,000 to create a scholarship awarding BIPOC low-income students by providing financial aid for Arts programs.
